“Once I had BigKeys LX in my reception class I wondered how I ever managed without it. BigKeys LX encouraged my children and built their confidence when learning literacy. It is priceless.”

How BigKeys LX works in a Reception Class in Hampshire
"Our Reception class consists of 4 and 5 year olds. They are the youngest in the school.
"There are many opportunities for computers to be used in all aspects of learning, however I think we need to remember what the focus of the learning is to learn about something rather than to learn how to use the computer.
"With our standard keyboard the focus of computer and its keyboard and how to use it took over. Plus, it was sometimes difficult to structure computer time in the class as the computers froze letting the teacher down and disappointing the children.
"With BigKeys LX, loosing focus is not a problem as the keyboard is so simple to use. The children were able to get on with it straight away. The computer has not frozen as a result of the keyboard once. These are really important things to me.
"To the children though, BigKeys LX is colourful, child friendly, clear, easy to use and accessible. They absolutely loved it and found it very easy to use successfully and independently.
"BigKeys encouraged them to use the keyboard for writing when they normally spent their time using the mouse. They were doing emergent writing with the keyboard.
"The children are supposed to use computer time to become familiar with ICT and most of all have fun and enjoy ICT. BigKeys provides positive support for all of this.
"I personally felt the BigKeys LX is superior to a standard keyboard due to the colours of keys, its lower case letters, less keys, and the facility to make capital letters independently."
